Lupino amargo o Lupinus

El altramuz blanco, chocho, entremozo o lupino blanco, también en ciertos lugares llamado almorta o — especialmente en Argentina— lupín, es una especie leguminosa de la familia Fabaceae y subfamilia Faboideae.

Su semilla es una legumbre achatada de color café claro y suele ser utilizada para la alimentación de ganado rumiante, donde el lupino es introducido en la dieta como suplemento proteíco. Es también comestible para el ser humano si es puesta en remojo en agua con sal para eliminar su amargor.
